Ronda is doing good..

Made another call to Ronda's Mom (which I don't know her name, I just keep calling her Ronda's Mom) she said that Ronda is experiencing some pain, and her throat is keeping her from talking.  She cannot have anything by mouth until tomorrow, not even an ice chip.  I had a lap band so I have no idea if that is normal or not, but her Mom has talked to Dr. Houston and she said everything is going great.

I'm not calling back tonight, but will check in with her tomorrow.

Keep saying your prayers for Ronda.

Nothing by mouth after the DS until the next day is normal.  Frankly, I'd be surprised if she wanted even an ice chip.  Most likely she's sore from the tube down her throat during surgery.  All I wanted  the evening of my surgery was the license plate number of the truck that hit me.  Of course, I am a big wimp...

Thanks, Amy, for all the updates.  You're a good angel!

They have them green swabs on a stick that is helpfull but yes your mouth is seriously dry. The pain pump will be her best friend. It was mine, I wish I wouldve had it for my trip back to Adamsville a couple days after surgery...lol

Thanks so much Amy for the updates. And I am right there with Sonya, that pain pump and those little green sticks-----the greatest. My best friend stayed with me the first night and she was so wonderful. I would doze off and wake up and I would have a wet green swab in my hand. I think she was finally able to time me and knew when to replenish.
Amy please tell Ronda she has our hugs and welcome to the losers bench.
